Maddie L. wedding photos

12/22/13

Amanda of Amanda Megan Miller Photography took some seriously beautiful photos for Maddie's big day. These are mainly shots of her hair, but come on - she even made that look amazing. And can we also talk about how gorgeous our bride looks? We last minute changed the hairstyle that we were going to do, and I think it was totally for the best. She looks perfect! Check out her 'do and be sure to show Amanda some love!

In case you're wondering, that totally amazing custom gown is by Mignonette Bridal!

Lauren M. bridal party

11/27/13

Alright, folks get ready for some more gorgeousness - because Lauren had a group of stunners for her bridal party as well! Lauren's wedding day was pretttty hot, so everyone opted for their hair all the way up. Check out oh about a million photos of her ladies and their updos!

Lauren's maid of honor Becca opted for something a little different than your standard low-set, off to the side updo - I think it turned out pretty well, and Becca totally rocked it!

Julia of I M Fotography was nice enough to pass along her beautiful photos from my lovely client Amy's wedding that took place this past September. During what was a 4 wedding weekend and a quick getaway to Purdue for the Notre Dame game, getting Amy and her family ready didn't feel like work at all. They were so sweet and lovely I am so happy was lucky enough to take part in her special day. Take a peek at these beautiful photos and be sure to leave some love for Julia!

Punk shoot with Towner Photo

11/14/13

I recently started working with John of Towner Photo - who I happened upon while researching projects to wiggle my way in on. I am so happy I did because the guy is crazy talented. Another new contact I made is my new favorite fashion stylist Joze Rodriguez (stay posted for more collaborations with him - he rocks). Anyway, take a peek at these amazing shots John took from our punk themed shoot a few weeks back -- you won't even believe that he just recently went full time with photography!

Looking forward to working more with these two!

Yay! I haven't even been allowed to share photos from this yet, but here are the sooo totally gorgeous photos by Ashley D Photography of our Autumn Woodland shoot from just a little ways back. Wedding planner Carlene of Naturally Yours Events was of course the brains behind the operation -- but not with out help from the rest of the amazing crew! One of my new favorite florists Field & Florist provided the stunning flower arrangements; including a fern adorned necklace that she made on the spot for our "bride." Speaking of, Meghan was not only our gorgeous faux bride (posing with real-life husband Eric), but she was also the talent behind the invitations/paper goods for our shoot (she just launched her company - Two Little Birds Press). Putting together the perfect fall wedding wouldn't have been complete with out Elysia Root Cakes who provided our beautiful wedding cake, and our to die for vintage table top and furniture rentals; which were provided by the lovely Nimble Well (tabletop) and Shadow Box Dreams Vintage Rentals (furniture). Besides loving every single thing about this shoot - we also did a bonfire with the coolest s'mores bar ever. Scope out the photos for yourself and then definitely show some love for the oh so talented group of vendors I was lucky enough to work with!!

(I provided both hair and makeup on this one!)

Elizabeth M. wedding photos

11/12/13

I had the pleasure of helping to get Elizabeth ready for her big day this past August. She was one of the loveliest brides I've been lucky enough to work with. Makeup artist Jen Brown of Nika Vaughan Bridal Artists was the jelly to my peanut butter and helped doll up the girls as well. It was such a gorgeous day at such a beautiful, green venue smack dab in the middle of Chicago. Although, apparently I'm not allowed to say where... weird, but true. Haha - any way take a peek at these gorgeous wedding photos of the day by none other than the über talented Christy Tyler.

Elizabeth, thank you so much for letting me take part in your special day - it was so fun getting you and your bridal party ready! And Christy thanks for sending such a fabulous bride my way! : )

Halloween 2013

My friends and I decided to go the awesome route for Halloween and rocked it out as the Rugrats crew. Pretty great, right? Haha

Featured Vendor on Elizabeth Anne Designs

10/22/13

Hey friends! Exciting news: I've been selected as a featured vendor on the beauuutiful Elizabeth Anne Designs website's beauty section! They reached out to me not long ago and I took them up on the offer - they are an amazing wedding inspiration blog/website, and I am so happy they chose me to be apart of it. Definitely check them out if you're like you pretty things (who doesn't?!).

Katy A. wedding photos

10/3/13

I had the pleasure of styling the beautiful Katy for her September 1st wedding at Glessner House. Fun fact: Katy is also in the wedding industry - she runs a business with her two sisters called Amelia Street Studio. (Be sure to check them out!) She was working the Summer Indie Wed event when she booked me on the spot for her wedding that was a few weeks after that. She wanted just something pretty and simple that incorporated a braid; and this is what we landed on!

What do you think? I think she looked totally gorgeous and I looove the giant bow with a vintage clip that wore as a statement hair piece. So cute!

I also styled one of her bridesmaids - who ended up doing a half-up hair bow. This was surprisingly my first hair bow request! Here is one professional photo where you can sorrrrta see it, and then my instagram picture from the day!

What do you think? I think it looked so cute in her perfect long, blonde hair.

Anyway, congratulations, Katy! I wish you all the best & hope to work with you in the future : )

Photo shoot with Naturally Yours Events + Ashley D Photography

9/30/13

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to take part in an amaaaazing fall/woodsy styled wedding photo shoot. And lemme tell you folks, it rocked. I can. not. wait. until the photos get published somewhere, because from the sneak peeks that were sent to me, it will not disappoint. I've worked with the amazing Carlene of Naturally Yours Events a few times before, and girlfriend is talented. She always puts together an amazing shoot with a whole crew of talented people, and this time was no different. This was the first time I'd met and worked with Ashley of Ashley D Photography, and I am soo thankful that I was asked on this shoot. She takes the most gorgeous photos; always capturing the light oh so perfectly. And the icing on the cake was that the shoot was fall/woodsy inspired. If you know me at all you probably know that I'm obsessed with fall and pumpkin anything. The instant I knew that Carlene was involved and that it was described to me as "outdoors and Harvest Festival themed. Not thanksgiving, but more of the Greek Harvest of Wine Festival" I was sold. I think I literally emailed Carlene back with just "done!" Haha. Our models for the shoot were an adorable real life married couple Meghan + Eric. I got to know Meghan a little bit as I dolled her up for the shoot, and not only is she just plain awesome, but it turns out she's recently started up a paper pressing business of her own. She did an amazing job on the invitations for the shoot, so keep an eye out for that! Fun fact: we also shot a little at her Aunt + Uncle's beautiful lake house property, which they so graciously let us intrude in on.

Anyway, check out a few of my behind the scenes camera phone photos and definitely stay tuned for Ashley's super amazing stunningly beautiful (yeah, it's all those things) professional photos!

How about those gorgeous vintage chairs from Shadowbox Dreams Vintage Rentals? Ah-mazing. Also, those flowers..agh! So pretty!! Stay tuned for more : )
